What We Believe

One God – We believe, worship and serve the One true God. “Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord”   Deuteronomy 6:4

Jesus Christ – To the only begotten Son of God, our Redeemer, our Advocate, our Shepherd, our Savior, and Friend. “…Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”   Matthew 16:16

Holy Spirit – He is the Great Interpreter, our Comforter and Intercessor - “And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of Truth…for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”   John 14:16-17

The Trinity – He is the triune God who has made His abiding in all those who repent and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. God the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost – “For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”   I John 5:7

Salvation - By repentance and His Forgiveness, His Grace, and by the Faith of His Son Jesus Christ, we have been saved, grafted onto the vine, and am the redeemed purchased possession for His Glory. Our Salvation is only through His shed Blood.

  • “…for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”   Matthew 9:13
  • “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins…”   Ephesians 1:7
  • “...for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”   Acts 4:12

The Authority of Scriptures – We believe in the complete Canon of Scriptures (New and Old Testament - 66 Books) for they are the measuring-rule, measuring-stick. The inerrant, infallible Words of God. For in them are all the answers of life and we hold them in the highest regard, faithfully studying and yielding to them for His Glory. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”   2 Timothy 3:16

Justification – We stand Just before the King of Kings for He has declared me Just. Not by our own righteousness, which is as ‘filthy rags’, but by His promise, that if we should ‘confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in our hearts that He hath raised Him from the dead,’  we shall be saved.   “Being Justified freely by His Grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.”   Romans 3:24-25

Righteousness - Because He has declared us Just, I am rendered Righteous, which means that we are in Right Standing with the One who ‘spoke all things into existence.’’  “…the righteousness of God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe…”  Romans 3:22

Sanctification – As said best by the Prince of Preachers, C.H. Spurgeon, “As in the building of Solomon’s temple, ‘…there was neither hammer, nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building…’ (1 Kings 6:7)because all was brought perfectly ready for the exact spot it was to occupy - so it is with the temple which Jesus builds, the preparation is all done on earth”. His Sanctification that He is doing in us is certainly a daily ‘build’, as the Clay in the hand of the Potter, He is the Potter and He is molding us more and more in His image with each passing day.  “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified (holy), and meet for the Master’s use…”   2 Timothy 2:21

Ordinance of Baptism – By the authority of Jesus Christ himself, we have been given the Ordinance of Baptism. Our first act of obedience and public witness is that we have confessed and repented of our sins. “Repent and be baptized everyone of you…” (Acts 2:38). What a joy it was to identify with Christ and to be buried with Him and raised to walk in newness of life. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”   Matthew 28:19

Ordinance of the Lord’s Supper - Again, by the authority of Jesus Christ, we have been given this Ordinance of the Lord’s Supper to partake in His table. What a joy and privilege it is to identify with our Saviour through this ‘ordinance’, to share in the remembrance of His body given and His blood shed for us. “…this is my body, which is broken for you…This cup is the New Testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”   I Corinthians 11:24-25

His Return – The Scriptures are clear, He is returning. We are to ‘watch and pray’, ‘watch and be sober’, “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout...” (I Thessalonians 4:16). What more can be said but, “Maranatha” - “Come Lord Jesus” (I Corinthians 16:22). I am ready to return with Him or meet Him in the air. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”   John 14:3
